Yes, I think you are free to do that.

What I see strange with you client is to start versioning from the current version of AirDC, giving users a feeling that it would be some kind of successor of AirDC. I would undertand that if AirDC was a dead project, but that's not the case. Why not start from version 1.00 or some other number (like what AirDC has also done long time ago)?

Yes i take your point and boost it one numbers so our projects won't have the same numbers.
