I corrected the sequence tags. Made some corrections in the translation.
The second & 3th attachments is an archive screenshots, which marked the problems places.

Sorry, that does not create a new thread but for now in Moscow 3:30 AM.

Hi out there :)

I'm a happy user of AirDC++ .. and if needed i could help with translation into danish.
I do have worked as semi-prof translater for some program (mainly shareware) doing my life time.
So again, if needed, just let me know, and i would be happy to do it.

With best regards

GranPa!

As you probably already seen we have a danish translation made by ICU2M8, I suggest that you talk directly to him if you have suggestions for improvements for the danish translation. I generally prefer if we only have one translation going for each language, but that doesnt mean that one person has to do all the work. :D

You can start a separate thread here or in a pm conversation if you like.

Hi out there :D

It's been a long time since I said I would do a translation for the nicest client !!
I won't bother you with my life ;)
The best thing is that the translation is finished (based on EN_example.xml : Name="Example Language" Author="BigMuscle" Version="2.05" Revision="1")

That translation is beta tested by friends actually and might need some adjustments that might have gone through my check

If you have any comments, I'll be happy to update it.
And I will update it as well for future versions ;)

Enjoy

[Edit] : for some weird reasons I cannot manage to check my file on AirDC :?
I thought to test it, I could exchange my file with another one in the language folder (I changed my filename with another one, I even changed the first lines to match other language file) but nothing !
Maybe I missed testing procedure for a new language file.
I've seen that some language files were not working with 2.04 release.
But as long as I used the latest EN_example.xml it should be OK
I'm stuck and need your help. It's so frustrating to have translated over 1200 lines and not being able to check it in client !
If I missed something please turn the light on for me ;)
Thanks

the file looks great :)

try changing "</string>" into "</String>", I saw that it was wrong on a few lines, it looks like air is too sensitive about this error.

Hi again ;)

Thanks en_dator, you were right, a few </string> were hidden in a few lines :-B
I have checked everything (text in boxes, correct length of chains to display in menus, and the typos I made). I hope it is bug free but I'll be happy to update it if you encounter some mispelling ;)

Here is the version 1.01 corrected and ready to use.

I would be happy to update that language file for future releases and it would be excellent to have a little french flag in the next release ;)

I hope that french language file will help to spread AirDC over the DC++ network.

Hi again,

I've been checking my file while configurating AirDC++ 2.06 and I realized some modifications didn't appear in the previous translation :(

Sorry for causing some extra work on update server en_dator

Here is the latest and for good french version for AirDC++ 2.06 (updated to version 1.01)

French_for_AirDC++_2.06_v1.01_FR.rar

If any french user has some comments on that FINAL version, I'll be happy to take them into account ;)

Airdc 205 <String Name="AddToQueue">Tilføj til kø</String>
but when trying use my 205 danish file . . :( all æ ø å is gone when airdc is runnig
Never mind

lol, yes i know the feeling. u go WTF?? for a while before you realize what is happening

Notepad++ is one of the better editors for this, it properly identifies the file format to be UTF-8 (or 'ANSI as UTF-8' I think it says)

I also use an editor called EditPad pro (http://editpadpro.com or http://www.just-great-software.com/ ) it is also very nice to work with.

i just noticed in the airdc++ update dialog this version was still called "2.05.1",
apparently there are multiple version strings. It's fixed now to reflect 2.06.1

Next to that i tried using the update, but it failed on any language.
(i saw there was already a bug report filed, so i'll leave it at that)

last but not least,
some languages have the restart-popup-msg in their own language,
some have it in english. Where can i find this string? is it a seperate file i need to edit?

plz use the following updated dutch file (2.06.01):

It's hard coded in the client. But if translators supply the correct restart message then it will be added for next release.
