Confused about the partial filelist.
With this new partial filelist grabbing in place, i'm abit confused about the methods i should use to get my usual downloads going.
first my old/usual habit:
I do a search (directory only), say for instance "Xeroes.S03E13." and i see the 720p and the xvid rarred directories appear in the search.
Now i want to get the 720p version so i sort by name, and select all directories named "Xeroes.S03E13.720p.HDTV.X264-XIMENSION", right click "download", Voila done.
This used to work perfect, and added all the files to the download queue including the sample folder and possibly a subs folder.
Currently this is not working for me anymore,
If i use the above method, i only get the main folder (no sub folders).
So i'm missing the Sample folder and all other folders..
in case of a 2cd xvid movies i just get the NFO (since the files are in the sub dirs CD1 and CD2).
I tried "download whole directory", but it doesn't make a difference, cause it was meant to work the other way around (select a file, download all files in that directory).
I'm not sure how to easily tackle this problem, without having to grab a couple filelists, and search for the folder in the filelist and get it that way.
In all of the above i'm talking about clients that also support partial filelists, as for clients that do not support it yet, i know it's not fully implemented.
any ideas how to get a folder in the search results to add all files and folders recursively to my download queue? like it used to work.

Re: Confused about the partial filelist.
What i do is search just like you, then I grab one filelist and add what I want from there, thats all.
I let AirDC++ find the other sources by it self (for tv eps I usually have a bunch of sources in a few minutes and I dont have to do anything at all).

Re: Confused about the partial filelist.
true, it pretty much the way i use it too now (since partial filelists).
though sometimes a single person doesn't have the file completed yet.. though i guess i find out quick enough in his filelist.
it's just that it's an extra step to take, getting the filelist and manually selecting the download while it was right there in the search result.
maybe i should put in a feature request for an option similar to "download whole directory" but instead being "Download including subdirectories"
The whole partial filelist principle was to shorten the wait for filelists to come in and lessen traffic, as filelist tend to get big with people sharing more and more files.
and now it's taken from a background task (it used to take time after user input) to a foreground task ( you actually have to wait since you need to give user input after the download).
from a user perspective it feels illogical and a step backwards. correct me if i'm wrong.

Re: Confused about the partial filelist.
Some aspects of the partial filelist function can be seen as a step back I agree but in general I believe its a big improvent, both for users and for the hub itself.
I do not like the idea of "download folder with subfolders" - as you will never know how large that subfolder is, sure it could just be that sample file at 15mb, but it could just as well be som kids entire porn collection
. IMHO - that feature is not a step forward.
I do however agree that compared to just download from the search frame the method I described above is a few more clicks, but on the other hand it does mean I know what I add to the queue, and in my opinion thats wins any day. And besides, after I have added something to my queue, a minute later I have plenty of sources already added as the client has very fast got partial results back and it can already now start to download from everyone that has a free slot.
since Yada got the great idea and implemented the workaround so we can get complete file lists from those that does not support reduced lists I'm very happy with how it works. (that doesnt mean it cant be improved even more of course)
